#23 PEO Erin Urquhart | Self-Defense and Street Safety Tips
There have been 6,176 assaults so far this year in Toronto, this according to the Toronto Police, and if you live in the city you can feel a bit of angst in the air from the headlines. Following an unprovoked assault in downtown Toronto earlier this year, I quickly realized how unequipped I was to defend myself in these scary and threatening situations, and based on the thousands of comments I received from a video I posted about the incident, I don't think I'm alone in feeling this way. One of those comments came from Parking Enforcement and Bike Patrol Officer Erin Urquhart who used to be a self defense instructor, and as soon as I looked her up I knew I had to chat with her. To help us react to and navigate street assaults safely, Erin joins us to break down self defence tips that we can easily adopt.
Let’s meet Erin!
